Review: This was a solid movie. A few complaints before I get into the positives, Dr. Strange just sucks in the movie, as a character he is just stale, his powers are really undefined so the writers can pull anything plot convenient out of his ass. For example, he got a box that can destroy his broken spell from the middle of nowhere, but his character isn't particular to this movie, its just an MCU problem. Also, out of the villians only the green goblin wasn't a push over. Like did sand man or Dr. Oct really feel threatening at all? And MJ's over compensating "quirkiness" was annoying, like when she was smart mouthing the interrogators. Finally, the worst thing about the movie was Aunt May, what a stupid moral she pulled in the movie. So she decided to try and save 5 lives who are not good people, but ended up killing herself and many others. In the scene after GG (green goblin) killed her, he bombed 2 police cars and considering there were no officers outside thats 3 lives down. I can only imagine how many the other 4 (maybe not Oct) killed. She probably killed almost 100 people with that self righteous stunt of hers, its not really moral if saving 5 lives lead to 100 dying is it? But enough of the complaints, this movie was actually really hype. Story wise, it was about average but everything else was a home run, I didn't get spoiled so when I saw Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield I almost screamed out loud. The fight with Strange was very cool, and GG was just a great character. It was a fan service movie, but the way everything came together was just great. The movie really felt like 1hr long, which just shows how enticing it was. Overall, I would recommend and rewatch.
